Good environmental conditions are essential in all food production. Certifications carried out by external third parties mean that we must have a strong focus on sustainability at all stages of production. This is how we take care of our people and the environment while reducing our footprint.

Global GAP

Global Good Agricultural Practices is an international standard that covers all stages of production. Brood, roe, food fish, slaughterhouse, processing, sale, feed and other suppliers who supply goods to us must have documented their environmental footprint. The standard will ensure food safety and document that we produce fish with minimal environmental impact, good animal welfare and the health and safety of the workers who work here.

ASC

Aquaculture Stewardship Council is an independent environmental label for fish and seafood. The eco-label shall guarantee that the product comes from a responsible fish farm that has minimised its impact on the environment and society. The label is a guarantee that environmental requirements are met throughout the value chain and makes it easier for consumers to choose products certified with sustainability and responsible aquaculture production requirements. The eco-label was founded by the WorldWildlife Fund (WWD) and the Dutch Sustainable Trade Initiative.

What is sustainable development?

“Development that meets today's needs without destroying opportunities for future generations to have their needs met.” The term was first used by the United Nations World Commission on Environment and Development in 1987.

There should be coherence between the three dimensions of the sustainability model, climate and environment, social conditions and economy, to determine whether the business is sustainable.
